DRT COMPLETES WASTEWATER SYSTEM ENCLOSURE PROJECT

SPRINGFIELD, Ga. – DRT has completed phase 2 – the final phase – of its wastewater system enclosure project, marking another milestone in the company’s commitment to address any potential odors that may be coming from the facility.

Phase 2 involved tying the tank to the plant’s emission controls to further minimize potential odors during venting and was the final step to fully containing the process.

An earlier phase of the project focused on bypassing the basins that previously stored process water from the plant’s operations. The process water is now piped through an enclosed system and stored in a closed tank before being transported offsite.
