STATE FIRE MARSHALS GIVE DRT GREAT GRADES IN FACILITY AUDIT

In March 2024, DRT America received an inspection from State Fire Marshals in partnership with the local Effingham County EMA for a fire code compliance inspection of our facility.

The auditors inspected the facility and reviewed the state of the facility’s fire prevention and suppression systems, including fire suppression system status, monitoring, grounding, equipment installation practices, electrical classification zones, HAZMAT placarding, and materials storage.

The audit team made three recommendations for systems not critical to the plant’s operation, which DRT plans to implement. Most importantly, there were no citations.

“We’re committed to operating a safe plant,” said John Myers, DRT plant manager. “I’d like to thank the audit team for a productive visit and their recommendations for continuous improvement. They’re welcome back anytime.”
