LET’S CLEAR THE AIR ON ODOR COMPLAINTS

We’ve heard the concerns about odors in the area, and we want to set the record straight.

  • Our operations are running as normal – and they’re not the source of the odors.
  • Effingham County Emergency Management visited us this morning and confirmed there were no odors coming from our facility.
  • The Georgia Environmental Protection Division also conducted an onsite check and came to the same conclusion—our facility is not the cause.
  • Based on the direction of the wind and where the complaints came from, it’s simply not possible for our site to be the source.

We’ve always been clear: if an issue stems from our operations, we’ll take responsibility and communicate openly. We’re committed to being a good neighbor.

It is clear the odors are coming from somewhere else. That’s why we’ve urged county officials to establish a task force to find the source – once and for all.
