DRT hosted Effingham Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural “Industry Insights” event
DRT Springfield hosted the inaugural Effingham County Chamber of Commerce “Industry Insights” tour on April 4. John Myers, plant manager at DRT Springfield, guided nearly 20 participants, including Chamber board members and local business leaders, through a tour of the plant.
“I always enjoy sharing our plant with visitors, allowing them to actually see what we do, how our facility runs and explaining what we make is used in so many everyday products,” Myers said.

State Fire Marshals gave DRT great grades in facility audit
In March 2024, DRT America received an inspection from State Fire Marshals in partnership with the local Effingham County EMA for a fire code compliance inspection of our facility.
The auditors inspected the facility and reviewed the state of the facility’s fire prevention and suppression systems. The audit team made three recommendations for systems not critical to the plant’s operation, which DRT plans to implement. Most importantly, there were no citations.
