A mechanical seal on a pump at the DRT Springfield facility failed this morning, leaking approximately 10 gallons of a finished product into a concrete secondary containment area. The plant is shut down to fix the seal. This product is low sulfur, sweet smelling material used in adhesives and is not dangerous. We are cleaning up the leak and expect to resume operations around noon.
