The coldest temperatures in more than a year that froze Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry also affected our DRT America facility in Springfield. The deep freeze impacted several DRT systems, including our deodorization process, which may have contributed to odors over the weekend. We are assessing these systems and repairs are underway. The plant will resume operations when all systems have been evaluated and are operating as designed. We have voluntarily reported all of this to the EPD.
We are aware of continued community concerns about odors in the area and will continue to be transparent as we work through our analysis process with Trinity, the nationally known engineering firm we have engaged for odor monitoring.
